About the experience

What is the Water Lantern Festival? The Water Lantern Festival is a magical and unforgettable event where families, friends, and communities come together to celebrate life, love, and hope. People of all ages and backgrounds gather for an evening filled with inspiration and connection. As thousands of lanterns float across the water, their soft glow reflecting in the night, you'll experience a breathtaking scene that creates lasting memories and touches the heart.
Who does it benefit? The Water Lantern Festival is a for-profit event, but we are proud to give back by supporting charities and non-profit organizations at each of our events. You can visit the event page for more information on the local charity partners we're working with in your area. Our goal is to offer donation opportunities, raise awareness, and build strong, lasting relationships with these impactful organizations.
Where is the experience located? The experience will be held at Dartmouth Park, West Bromwich B71 4AS, United Kingdom.
How long does the experience last? Session length and exact hours vary by date. Please check your ticket and the official Water Lantern Festival Event Guide, which is emailed to all participants one week prior to the event.
What is included with my ticket? Each General Admission ticket includes: Entry wristband for festival access, one floating lantern kit with a lantern, tealight & marker, playing cards & conversation cards, a drawstring bag, and entry into our scavenger hunt giveaway.
Additionally, the ticket price helps cover the costs of collecting and safely removing the lanterns from the water after the event, as well as cleaning up any debris that may have been present in or around the water.
Will there be food and beverage? You will be able to purchase food and beverage at this event.
What if there is bad weather? We're committed to holding our events, come rain or shine. The safety and enjoyment of our participants are our top priorities, and we closely monitor weather conditions in collaboration with the city and venue. In the event of unsafe weather or if local authorities advise, we may need to postpone the event to a later date. If this happens, you'll be promptly notified via email, and our social media pages and website will be updated accordingly.
What time do the lanterns launch? The lantern launch window typically begins at sunset and will continue for 1-2 hours until everyone has had an opportunity to launch their lantern into the water.
What time do I need to arrive? You may arrive whenever you can. The event usually begins about three hours before sunset. We recommend arriving at least an hour before sunset to fully enjoy everything the festival has to offer! For detailed information, please refer to the official Water Lantern Festival Event Guide, which is emailed to all participants one week prior to the event.
Is there an age limit for the lantern festival? No age limit, all are welcome! The Lantern Festival is open to all ages and is a family-friendly event. Children ages 8 and under are admitted free and do not require a ticket; however, they will not receive a lantern. Please note that all attendees must agree to the event waiver, and by entering the festival grounds, you acknowledge and accept its terms.

Where can I get tickets?

  • On the Fever website.
Can I purchase tickets at the door? We will have a box office on site. However, tickets may be sold out by the time you arrive at the event, so we highly recommend you book your tickets in advance in order to guarantee your spot. You can purchase tickets in the Fever app or on the Fever website.
Can I transfer my tickets to another person? Yes, you can transfer your tickets to anyone for free. It is as easy as clicking "Transfer Tickets" on your ticket in the Fever app. Please contact us if you need additional help. Make sure to include your ticket order number.
Do I need to print my ticket? You can find your ticket in the "Tickets" section of the Fever app (you can download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play). Please remember to log in with the same login method used to make the purchase.
I can't find my ticket. What should I do? You can view your ticket in the Fever app, within the Tickets section. If you don't have the app installed, you can download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Remember to log in using the same account that you used when buying the tickets. If you still cannot find your ticket, please contact us.
Can I change the date of my ticket? Are refunds allowed? For this event, all sales are final and tickets can't be refunded, changed or modified. For more information, please refer to our T&Cs.

About Event Accessibility

Do I need to arrive at the start of my scheduled session? Please arrive at the time stated on your ticket; late entry is not permitted.
Is there parking available? Attendees are advised to use the Sandwell Valley County Park Entrance which leads you to the Lodge Hill Road Car Park, the King George V Playing Fields Car Park, or the adjacent overflow lot located on the north side of Sandwell Valley Country Park.
Can I bring animals? Are service dogs allowed? Unfortunately, no pets are allowed in this event's location, though we do welcome service animals.
Is the venue accessible? Yes, the event is being held in an accessible venue.
What are the prohibited items at the experience? For the safety of all guests, weapons and drugs are not allowed in the premise of the event.
Is the experience accessible for deaf/visually impaired people? We are happy to confirm that people with visual or hearing impairments will be able to enjoy this experience.
Will there be strobe lights? This event won't include strobe lights.
Are there chairs available? Can I be seated during the experience/exhibition? This is a seated experience, however, no chairs will be provided, and guests will be seated on the grass of the park, we advise guests to plan accordingly.
Will restrooms be available on site? This venue has limited restrooms, however, portable restrooms will be available to accommodate the guests —please ask our staff on site for indications.
Can I take photos or record the experience? Feel free to take photos and share them. When taking photos, please make sure not to disturb other customers. Professional equipment and tripods are not permitted.
Is there a Lost & Found? Lost & Found section will be located at the Merchandise Tent. We would recommend you to ask the staff at the venue if they have found your belongings.
Is there an age requirement? All ages are welcome to this experience and the space is accessible for prams/strollers.
Will there be an audio guide? Unfortunately, this experience does not include an audio guide.
